Reflective vest is a kind of clothing with reflective strips made of reflective materials. Its types include reflective vest, reflective one-piece work clothes, reflective vest, etc. All kinds of reflective vest require certain basic characteristics when designing.

The reflective part of the reflective vest is made by using the principle of crystal lattice microrhombus to produce refraction and glass bead retro-reflection with high refractive index, through the advanced technology of focusing and post-processing. It can reflect the distant direct light back to the luminous place, and has good retro-reflection optical performance no matter in the day or night. Especially at night, it can play the same high visibility as during the day.

The safety clothing made of this high-visibility reflective material can be easily found by night drivers whether the wearer is in a remote place or under the interference of light or scattered light. The emergence of reflective materials has successfully solved the problem of "seeing" and "being seen" in driving at night.

There are three types of reflective materials used in reflective vest/vest, which are:
1) Base material: refers to colored fluorescent material with high visibility, but it is not required to meet the requirements for retro-reflectivity;
2) Retroreflective material: refers to the material with retroreflective property, but it is not required to meet the requirements for the base material;
3) Dual-functional material: refers to the material with dual properties of substrate and retro-reflection.
Reflective vests/vests are often used by traffic police, sanitation workers, traffic commanders, and some road maintenance personnel. It is mainly for staff who need to use light as a warning in dark light. The life jackets, life buoys and so on we see will have a reflective effect in order to play the role of safety warning.
