Before discussing how to clean reflective clothing, we need to understand the composition of reflective clothing: reflective clothing is composed of basic materials and reflective materials. Secondly, its reflection depends on reflective materials (reflective tapes, reflective stickers, lattice tapes, etc.). It does not emit light, but requires reflective lamps (flashlights, car lights, etc.). This is true even for clothes that can reflect all over the body.
So, what is the magic of reflective materials?
If you buy clothes such as reflective vests, it is not difficult to find that there are numerous dense small particles on the surface of reflective belts or reflective clothing, which will also fall off when you scratch them with your nails. These small particles are called glass beads. It is made by the principle of microrhombic refraction of lattice and the retro-reflection of glass beads with high refractive index. It can reflect the remote direct light back to the luminous place, especially at night. It can have good reflective optical performance, and the wearer has high visibility.
Therefore, before washing reflective clothes, we should choose the appropriate detergent: reflective materials can only be wiped with detergent, and can't use strong corrosive substances, such as disinfectant. Remember not to choose alkaline washing products such as detergent and soap, and use neutral detergent. If you can't judge the nature of the solution, you can use bath solution or shampoo (these are generally neutral).
Washing method of reflective clothing: dissolve the neutral detergent in cold water, soak the dry reflective clothing for 20-30 minutes, and then gently rub it with your hands. The heavily stained areas of the neckline and cuffs can be pretreated with the collar and other solutions, and can be gently brushed with a soft brush after soaking. After washing, do not use a dryer to dehydrate, and hang it in a cool place to dry.
Please pay attention to:
1. If the surface is not too dirty, wipe it with a wet towel. Don't immerse the whole clothes in water.
2. Cold water can be used for soft cleaning and natural drying, but not wring or dry cleaning.
3. Do not wash in the washing machine or mix with other clothes.
